To set up the rover receiver:
-
From the Home menu, select Project Setup / Connect Device and then tap GNSS.
-
Set the Mode option to Rover.
-
Select the Connection type: Bluetooth, Cable, or EM100 (if an EMPOWER EM100 GNSS module is connected to a compatible EMPOWER controller).
-
Select the appropriate Correction method: Radio in Receiver, RTX, Internet (VRS), Autonomous, etc. Then continue to configure the correction methods as prompted.
-
For SPS985, SPS986, and R780 receivers, select if a quick release is being used.
-
For SPS986 or R780 receivers with the INS tilt compensation option installed, choose whether or not to enable Tilt Compensation.
-
Enter the Antenna height values and tap Accept to complete the GNSS setup.
You only need to do this once per site; the software remembers your settings and pre-fills them for the next time you set up the same rover receiver in the same site. You can change any of the rover settings if necessary. If any of the settings have changed, such as the base station radio channel, the rover must be configured from the start for each new site or to connect to a new base.
When using the Radio in Receiver option on 450 MHz receivers, Siteworks v1.60 has added the ability to add and delete receive-only frequencies to 450 MHz GNSS receivers. This functionality is not available for the Trimble SPS785 GNSS smart antenna, Trimble MPS865 Marine GNSS receiver or any Spectra SP model GNSS receivers. Note that receive-only frequencies can be added or deleted from within Siteworks. Transmit frequencies must be added via the Virtual Warehouse, WebUI, or WinFlash.
On the Receiver Setup screen, tap next to the radio channel to open the new Advanced Radio Setting screen. Here, you can view the installed frequencies, and add or delete receive-only frequencies to receivers with a 450 MHz radio.
To add a frequency, type the value in New receive only frequency (MHz) field, and then tap to add it. Siteworks will only allow the addition of valid frequencies from 410 to 473 MHz with a step size of 6.25 kHz.
To delete a receive-only frequency, select its checkbox and then tap Delete.
